Can You Watch Videos While on the Phone and Will the Other Person Hear It?

Hey all,
when having a voice call on my iPhone (iOS thirteen.2) I tin watch a YouTube/Netflix video at the aforementioned time and will be able to hear both audios (voice call and video).
However, I figured out that for my friend this doesn't work on his iPhone (iOS 13.iv). When we are having a telephone call and he switches to the YouTube app to watch a video, he will be only able to listen to the audio from the video while it is playing. He tin can no longer hear my voice and I cannot hear him.
Does everyone know how to fix the problem so that we both tin can sentry a video and have a proper phone phone call (audio + mic) at the same time?

I think this depends on if the the carrier supports VoLTE that allows voice and data at the same time.
Meet this support page. If your friends provide supports VoLTE and then meet if the setting is set to Voice & Data.

Cheers! I will enquire my friend to check it.
However, I should mention that we are using our home WIFI to telephone call each other, not LTE. Don't know if this makes any difference though.

If you are using Wifi for calling so there is no VoLTE. I'grand not sure why y'all accept vocalization and data and your friend doesn't. Peradventure information technology's a difference in carriers if you and your friends are dissimilar.
I did a google and Sprint has Wifi calling with vocalisation and data called Wifi Plus but this is for Android.

Actually nosotros are both using two different German carriers. Simply since nosotros are both on Wifi I expect the solution of the problem to exist plant somewhere in the iOS settings. But I couldn't actually figure out where.
So if everyone has an thought how to solve this, please permit me know
